January 23, 2008 at 1:34 am #236976alanspacket;37683You making a spelling mistake is not my concern nor problem. You have provided a lovely descirption and selling approach and I bought it and pay for it. That’s it. 1 + 1 = 2, where ever you and your team come up with the 1 is between you guys, not me. In this case, it’s clearly a False Advertisement because it’s not avail to what was advertised and promised.
You also promised me Wednesday a few last week ago, and now you want another month.
Here’s what you can do, follow up on the case on Paypal and refund my money. Or extend my membership longer if you keep making me wait for something that was advertised to me and I paid for it.
Hi Alan
I have been following this adventure with interest 😉 I believe the claim of false advertisement to be true based on ” A product or service must be fit for the the purpose it was deigned/intended for”This is one of the 6 essential laws of contract here is Oz, if my commercial law training back in the nineties is still correct, however i can see Hung’s point that J 1.5 has been constantly under progressive change up till now and the difficulties in keeping up with those changes etc
I’d love to see you have you membership extended, rather than refund and leave; if only so we can see the killer site you will HAVE to make to satisfy all the fuss you have made. 🙂
I do wish you success and will, like many, be on hand to offer help and expert opinions, after all , JA community may seem to suck to some but there are some great ppl amongst us
Blessings to you

ShannonN</blockquote>Yes, I love Joomlart, and probably will take over the world with this template.
However, I can assure you that I will not pay a dime if I didn’t trust the words that was advertised as 1.5 compatible and all that fuss.
I take Joomlart’s work very seriously and I hope they are treating me seriously as a client as well.

January 23, 2008 at 11:07 am #237007alanspacket: I assisted you in setting up a joomla 1.0.x template to work fine in joomla 1.5, and set it all up manually to look like the demo.. have you changed the theme?
January 23, 2008 at 11:09 am #237008Are you kidding me? If you pay attention closely to this thread you will understand that I fell in love with the ja news/slide show portion and purhcase the membership. What you did for me manually is what I could do on my own. Quickstart provides me a easier approach to edit, and control in the admin side as well.

No worries. We did say the template, not the extension, so I doubt that’s false advertisement however… either way, we ARE working on converting everything NOW..
I was sent a document with the list of what needs to be converted, and I will be participating in the conversions. I know for a fact that I will be chasing these up, and getting them released as soon as possible. When I get in contact with the developers tomorrow I’ll see if we can get JA News done first.
I can guarantee to you it is on our list, and it will be converted.

</blockquote>MICCAS:
Thank you for your prompt attention to the conversion of JA’s most popular extension, JA News.
May I also kindly suggest that you put JA’s most popular template, JA Teline, at the top of the “to be converted” list?
Regards.

All your clients want is mainly for things to be in placed the way it was offered 🙂 I am not trying to ruin anybody’s party, but I expect it to be a nice party if I have to pay to attend.

February 5, 2008 at 7:38 pm #238281This thread is very interesting. I believe I have been a victim of false advertising as well, and have asked numerous times to either have my account converted to one that I can use or to refund my money. After the first day, everyone stopped responding to me. I also look at these forums with interest… it looks like paying members are posting many support questions, and few of them get answered by the company. So there really is little support if you purchase this product. How disappointing to feel that I have not gotten what I have paid for. But apparently I am not alone.

Hi THere,You can’t say you haven’t gotten what you paid for, because I think this is the whole issue.
Send me an e-mail directly, include your ticket number, and we’ll sort something out for you 🙂
JoomlArt are away for the chinese new year, hence why they’re not around.

February 5, 2008 at 10:10 pm #238296Of course I can say that I haven’t gotten what I paid for, BECAUSE I HAVEN’T! This has been an open issue for over a month and all of my emails go unanswered. I will, however, email you.

now thats something for a “news” or announcement section, hm? People would get less upset if they were informed.
I for one let people party and recover from it, and hold back my anger for a couple of days.
Hope we can sort it out when they are back and able to work 😉But Michael, is it possible that “Michael C.” is you? 😉 The guy who told me there was a working Fagus 1.5 quickstart package? If so, it would be nice if you could have a look at that “working” package and give me a hint why no 1.5 quickstart package works with SEF enabled…
