June 25, 2009 at 11:33 pm #142254Again, i have a number of tickets open at support desk but since you’ve already received my money you dont give a hoot.
A reply would be nice.
Problem : Ja news does not pass articles to specific categories.
Basically, if I add the ja_news mod to a category I would expect it to ONLY show that category’s articles. BUT NO. It passes everything.
So i have been forced to set up unique mods to display each category’s own news, which is not easy.
Furthermore, newstories all display (in category pages) in a single column, even after I place 2 columns in settings.
Clearly there’s some sort of connection problem here between scripts.
Some help please?

June 26, 2009 at 9:44 am #309156I tried that. It does not work.
I’ll give it a last try by myself. If i cant make it, i’ll pm you. thanks.June 27, 2009 at 3:15 am #309204From the JoomlArt.com test site for JA News, it shows the JA News Manager component. This is used to set the “front page” module if you don’t want the default Joomla front page. The JA News Manager component isn’t included in the original download pack. It says “JA News Frontpage” should be installed—I gather this is the same as JA News Manager. However, it specifically notes that it’s included with JA Teline II, but doesn’t say anything about JA Topaz. Can you provide any advice?

June 29, 2009 at 8:43 am #309405Hi..
Yes for other templates you will need to install the modules / components separately as they are not a part of quick install. The JA Teline /TelineII are basically news sites for which these components/modules were first used, but you can very well use them for a different template after installing and configuring it. -
