Joomla 1.5.11 and Community Builder 1.2.1
Clicking on the link “Register to Read More” (which I’ve changed to read “Login/Create An Account to Read More”) in an article takes you to a page with the standard Joomla login module (even though in Global Configuration “Allow User Registration” is set to “No” and the login module is disabled.)This is confusing to the viewer as they try to attempt to login with the standard joomla login fields which don’t work. The Community Builder login module appears on the screen also because it’s set to appear everywhere. CB “Allow User Registration” is set to “Yes, Independently of Global Setting”
How do I get the register to read more links to link to the CB login form/module instead of showing the standard joomla login?

Please show me a example of such page, where it takes to Joomla registration page. I am bit confused, as it seems to be taking to dt-register by default. Also marking the thread as Non JA issue.

click on the INFO menu tab,
then click on one of the article’s “Login/Create an Account to Read More” links.A screen grab of the two login panes is attached.

August 18, 2009 at 3:44 am #314597this is the wrong place to get that issue resolved, this is for template issues only, this is a 3rd party extension issue, you need to post on there bulletin board
http://www.dthdevelopment.com/components/dt-register-event-registration-for-joomla.htmlAugust 18, 2009 at 1:39 pm #314633Thanks for the suggestion to look elsewhere. I have.
I’m still looking for answers. I don’t know that it’s a third party issue.
Why wouldn’t they just say it’s Joomlart issue? The 3rd party didn’t provide the code to pull up that Joomla login pane, JA Opal did. Or is that just part of the standard Joomla? or is it both? Seems fuzzy to me as to who’s responsible, but again I’m looking for answers.
DTH Development has nothing to do with this BTW, they’re only the event registration component which is not shown on these screens, this has to do with joomla login and joomla read more link. More likely Community Builder doesn’t do anything with that “read more….” link. But perhaps they can’t. Anyway they don’t answer their posts on this subject and they don’t identify it as an issue. (Hard to recommend them for this reason).AuthorPostsViewing 5 posts - 1 through 5 (of 5 total)This topic contains 5 replies, has 3 voices, and was last updated by joof 15 years, 4 months ago.
