I created a user in Registered user group, but when I try to login as that user I don’t get access? Maybe I have a setting incorrect?
Any ideas?

Is the site offline? If so by default a Registered User doesn’t have that access.

Is that what you want? Access on an offline site?

The site is offline, but I’ve given the registered user login name and password so that should allow access.

By default not on an offline site it doesn’t. It allows them to access registered user permissions only if the site is live.

However, it’s easy to change.

From admin

Global Configurations, Permissions, and then click on the left on Registered Users.

Look there and you will see “Offline Access” and you can set it to Allowed. All Registered Users will then be able to logon to front side of offline sites.

Welcome. No problems.

You might want to create a new user group if these are people for testing the site otherwise all users that have every registered on your site will still have access whenever you put the site into offline access. Which kind of defeats the reason for putting offline in the first place!! :laugh:
