September 19, 2008 at 2:10 am #271239Hi
VirtueMart from version 1.1.X provide facilities for this purpose. Go to VMs control panel, on the left hand side of the screen you will find a menu. Now click on Admin to expose the sub menu, look for “Manage User Fields”and click on it. Scroll down to the bottom of the screen and look for “extra_field_1…..2…3….4…& …5” You can use those extra fields by changing them to suit your needs.
I hope that helps.

September 19, 2008 at 6:06 am #271283Hi
I used a third party extension from JoomSuite called JS User. I’ve added lots of info on the registration form (location, occupation, age, etc.), and it also has a built in ‘captcha’ security system.
It cost me 19 euros, but it was really worth it! Easy to install, use and configure! Good tech-support too.
Good Luck!
ChrisSeptember 20, 2008 at 1:15 am #271444Ok tried that but when I used the extra fields the infomation still didnt show. it says that is was saved but its not showing on my registration for. I cleared my cash thinking that it was just an cash issue on but when I refreshed it still didnt show. could you please advise.
Thank you for your help n

</blockquote>Which of the three methods above did you try? The code that nguoiabcd explained, the VirtueMart route that tonyg suggested or the JS User extension that I suggested?
Then I hope we can help!

Go to the new fields you created double check to ensure that under the heading “Published” and “Show in registration form” has a green tick.
If possible post a link and a screen shot of the configuration page.
