Can anyone help?

I’m using the Helio template on Joomla 1.5 and would like to add additional fields to the registration form.

The new fields include:

An additional Required “Text field”.
A check box to confirm agreement to “Terms & Conditions”.
A text link to “Terms & Conditions”.
A check box for newsletter sign-up.

Hi Simon

I’m not using Helio, I’m using Telline II, but had the same problem. I wanted to gather more information!

In the end, I installed a commercial 3rd party extension on my site which solved my problems: extra data on registration, captcha security on input forms, statistics, etc.

The extension was easy to install and configure and well worth a look, plus the tech-support is very good, to the extend of Skype calls or even mobile telephone numbers!

Cost me 19 euros, but money well invested. Sorted out all my registration and user issues.

Hi Chris

Many thanks for your reply and tip on JoomSuite.

I’ve now looked at both JoomSuite and Community Builder (Joomlapolis), both seem to extend the CRM capabilities of Joomla significantly. Just what I want.

I’ve eventually gone with Community Builder.

Off to give it a go!
