Are you getting this error on Joomla registration page ?
Try to change the template style and check the issue with default Joomla template and if its working there .

Hi
If you are getting same error with default Joomla template there is issue from your Joomla , I suggest you to update your Joomla and see if it fix this issue .
If still same i suggest you to write this issue on Joomla forum so someone from Joomla support will check this for you .
Do not forget to take backup of site before update .
