I have been having way too many problems and would like to just reinstall the JA Social template with the quickinstall. How can I do that WITHOUT effecting my Jomsocial and Kunena components?

Regarding the jomsocial and Kunena styling, I dont think it will get affected if you uninstall the JA Social template for joomla, since for both the components, we need to copy the respective folders from the JA Social, to the respective component folders.

Still I would suggest you to take a backup of whole site before making any big changes.
