i want to know whether joomla art template depend on mootools or not if not can i disable it in my site because i saw on my site when mysite load i see from firebug that the mootools library also loaded which has size of nearly 230 kb by removing this i can optimize my site to 20% & if joomla art template is using mootools then also there is any way to remove mootools dependencery from template by using jqueryif yes then how .
Can you explain me how to remove mootools from loading in frontend through template index file & what code i have to put in template index.php file to remove the mootools loading from frontend
i am using joomla 1.6.5 , ja social v1.1.0 , jomsocial 2.2.3 & kunena 1.6.4

Hi yedels,
In fact, we use mootools in most of templates. In detail, mootools is used in Mega menu of JA Social and a some other elements. Thus I think you can not remove it in order to keep the template working.

you use mootools core library i think in your template but not the mootools-more.js library or use both the library.

Normally the lib is only included when it is used. You can test disabling it by yourself and see if there is any element stops working. If no element which uses that lib displays in the page, you can be able to disable the lib.
