So I have been developing on Joomla since it was Mambo server, but I have an issue that should be very simple… Please help this idiot out!

If the Menu’s are set up like this

    1. Home
    2. About
    a. State
    i. Link 1
    ii. Link 2
    iii. Link 3
    b. County
    i. Link 4
    ii. Link 5
    iii. Link 6
    c. National
    i. Link 7
    ii. Link 8
    iii. Link 9

How can I make it http://www.site.com/about/link1?
By default it wants to make it http://www.site.com/about/state/link1. However, I do not want State, County and National to be links, just a way to organize the links.

So in other words, how do I remove a Text Separator, Menu Alias, etc. so that it does not appear in the URL? I have tried everything for a long time and I cannot figure it out. Do I need to modify the way I have the grouping set up?

Please help! Thank you in advance

    Hi biglsolutions,

By default of .htaccess, the Menu URL will be read by order: About/State/Link1.
You can’t change it completely. I suggest you should use sh404 SEF for alias customization.

    Regards,

    Leo
