I have a frontpage with modules laid out how I want them pretty much with the exception of the articles. I do not want the articles to display on the front. I would like to have other modules in that space. I’m having trouble making that happen.

I tried to clone the template and turn off the main content but the templates seem to be linked. Whatever change I make to one, is made to the other.

Even if I can remove the articles on the front, I can not seem to get rid of the hole left by where the content used to be. Has anyone done this with JA-Ironis on Joomla 1.7?

I think I’ve solved this portion of my problem. My resolution came from here in case it benefits anyone else.

Now, I’ve got another. Off to a new post
