I found elsewhere in the forum where to remove the banner area, but there is still a black area just under the menu area that I can’t find in Firebug how to remove. You can see it here http://mcl.purplecowwebsites.com/

Can you please tell me how to remove this area?

Hello,
You have to look for background-images: container-bg.gif and main-bg.gif, in file images of template.
