    Hi Guys and Gals

I am building a site with 4 seperate contacts, each needing a different google map and contact form. I will be displaying the address of each respective contact in the right module position, and place the Ja-map in the misc information as it doesn’t look to neat in the content-mass-bottom module position. now i need to remove the titles of each part of the contact form, but even though i disable them in the components-contacts and in the menu options they still appear, how would i go by removing them?

    Any help would be appreciated.

    Thanks

Could you PM me a super admin login and link to your site so I can take a look for you? Pleas incluse a link to this thread in your PM.

In addition, we no longer support Joomla 1.7.x (neither do Joomla.org) as it had now been superceeded by Joomla 2.5

Thanks for your PM. Yes, first things you need to do are to update your template and all JA components (and maybe a few non JA ones) to J2.5 version, then update to Joomla 2.5.

If you go to Components>JA Extension manager then filter for ja you will see a list of all the version of our components that you have and need updating. Before you can update you will need to go to the services manager tab on the left of that page and enter your credentials (the same login you use for the JA forums) into the JA Updater service box. This is just our own security check so only registered members can get new templates and components this way.

Once doen you can update all you the extension in the list through the JA Extension manager. When all are done you can then go to the normak Joomla Extension manager and update Joomla itself. However, updating from J1.7.2 to J2.5.2 is a big update and it doesn’t seem to work very well with all hosts so my personal prefernece is to download the update from Joomla.org and apply it manually via ftp.

Before you start any of this make sure you have a backup of both your site and the database just in case things go wrong. I strongly recommend you install Akeeba backup before you start anything an run a full backup. It really is a great tool and a lifesaver in many cases. If things do go wrong you can restore your site in just a few minutes saving that heart in the mouth moment when all crashes.

    Hi Phil
Thanks for the assistance, updated the site successfully and the contact pages look fine now, I have another query though, when using the dropdown for the contacts, to select a contact via the dropdown list, my modules dissapear when I select a contact via the dropdown, any idea how i can fix this?

    Thanks

Can I have a link to the site again please? It is probably just a case of assigning the modules to the correct menu items.
