    Hi,

I would like to remove the index.php from URL in order to make the URL more frienly.

My site is in ixwebhosting and it use php.cgi instead apache.

    Can I use sh404SEF?

That would be a question for the sh404sef forums, but have you tried using the default Joomla sef function?

Friendly for whom? The search engines know php index files, they are not different from html index files and users do not care about it as long the site is good…

the search engines actually look for the index file and give it more weight as it is the main page of your site. Keep it, don’t confuse the spiders
