I purchased the developer membership and wish to remove the Joomlart logo and “designed by Joomlart” from the footer area. I know I should be able to figure this out … but I can’t determine the file that contains the code.

Found it . For later reference I am leaving notes:
Look in “/html/mod_footer/default.php”
