I get white space above slide show as shown in the picture. Also somehow slideshow left side and white side background color has disappeared.

Please check value of main height and main width in the module setting, make sure that the width value and main wrap is same. We could help you more if you could provide you site url for further check and pm me super admin account.

Dear,

Remove top space:
Add code below to end of template.css file
– For module in slideshow postion

#ja-slideshow div.ja-moduletable, #ja-slideshow div.moduletable {
margirn-top: 0px !important;
}
– For fp slidehow

#ja-slideshow #fpssContainer215.fpss-template-jj-obs {
margin: 0 auto 8px !important;
}
