    Please follow my suggestion!

    <blockquote>Open templates/ja_mendozite/css/template.css file</blockquote>
    from

    #ja-header { background: #222 }

    #ja-slideshow {
    z-index: 8;
    position: relative;
    background: #222
    }

    change to

    #ja-header { background: #222 !important; }

    #ja-slideshow {
    z-index: 8;
    position: relative;
    background: #222 !important;
    }

    That still did not fix the problem. I uninstalled the template and reinstalled it and it is still doing the same thing.
    Thanks for helping me on this.

    I notice that it is not like that on the demo site. And this is on a fresh install, it’s like the main bg is overlapping at the top.

    Also I notice when I change the Css & Javascript Compress settings, it makes that gap bigger or smaller depending what I change it to.

    Well there is a problem still, I sent you a pm about this, it’s odd because now I have 7 dots in the upper left hand corner of the screen. I set it to no on the optimize js and css and got that, but if you change it to anything else, it just shows them 7 dots as a full bar. This is really odd. We can leave the background a solid color, just have to remove the bar or squares in the upper left hand corner of the screen.
    Tys for your help

    It also shows that bar when I change the template to a purity. But when I am viewing in Firefox it is not there, but it is in IE

    Ok this may not be a template problem, I notice this happens if I change templates AND it is showing up in the backend as well.
