Sorry to bother you, i needed the same and was looking totally in the wrong place, however in the file you gave, i could not locate the correct place to change it, would it be possible to send the line of code it’s attached to.

    online 221 in the mod_jafilter_jobs/tmpl/default.php

    Look out for this code:
    <?php echo JText::_(‘Salary’).” ($)”; ?>^M

And there you change $ to whatever you want 😉

    Hi,
Sorry I need to do the same thing ($ changed to £). I’ve amended the code as suggested (and thanks for that) but it’s appearing as a square, like it doesn’t understand the GBP (£) symbol. Any suggestions?

This also occurs on 2 other pages as well.
    – When someone needs to “Buy posting plan” in the table there is a dollar symbol as the column heading “Cost”
    – Order confirmation (price with $ in brackets)

Any suggestions to which pages relate to the two specified above?

Just to clarify I have set the currency as GBP

    Hi,
i had the same problem. But im on hostgator using cpanel and tried to edit the file as over ssh the symbol is not the same as for the us keyboard. Therefore i had to use the file manger of cpanel.
First it gives me also a square with questionmark. I had to change the editor of cpanel from us-xx to utf-8. After that i edited the file again and its working now 😉
So maybe you download the file, edit it local and upload it again. Hope that helps.

I will get a check on the currency configuration on all page to make sure that you can change it totally from the backend (without having to edit the code) and will be updated in the next week release.

    Thank you for your reporting.

    Hi,

Was the backend Currency problem ever resolved?

I’m new to using this component and am just in the process of setting up and testing/playing with the component.

I have changed the currency to GBP and £ in the back end – Global settings > System Config & saved , but have noticed already that when I check the back end Subscription & Permission > posting Plans. The $ sign is still in brackets, yet in subscriptions this has now changed to a £ sign
    ??

    Any Ideas?

I’ll report back once I have fully set up the component and checked the front end too, though so far looks an awesome component.
