Hi there

That section is the main-content section ( place where Joomla publish component content ) best way to remove it is to remove the main-content block from the layout file

I created a new layout named home-nomain then i duplicated your home template style and assigned to it the nomain-layout and assigned this template style to your home menu item

As you can see now from your home page the main section is disappeared.
