Hello again, just ran into another small problem I can’t seem to wrap my head around.
In the main menu, how do I remove the word ‘Home’ and just leave the icon in its place? Right now it just appears as a picture of a house next to the word ‘Home’ and any settings I change in the menu item configuration don’t seem to work.
Thanks in advance.

March 12, 2012 at 12:53 am #443062I know that’s how it’s supposed to work but it doesn’t seem to effect anything 🙁

The issue is that you HAVE TO have a default menu item associate with your home page (aka: front page).
The trick is, however, that the menu item doesn’t have to be within your Main Nav menu – it can be within any other active menu – such as your FOOTER – and it doesn’t even have to be named “Home” . . . . though it does need to point to the home/front page.
Make sense?
So, what you can do is create a menu item within your footer (for example) and, basically, duplicate the configurations as those of your original “Home” menu item . . . and then make THAT new menu item the “default” menu item.

March 12, 2012 at 11:30 pm #443290Well that did solve the problem of having my ‘home’ menu item highlighted when you go to the site, but it still isn’t possible for me to remove the word from the main menu.
Either I can have a menu item with an icon of a house next to the word ‘Home’ or it removes the entire thing if I select it to hide title.

March 12, 2012 at 11:51 pm #443293What exactly do you want there? Just the house icon?
To do that makesure you have the custom class in “Paged Display Options” in the “Page CLass” box set to ” home-icon” but make sure you have a leading space before the first letter.
March 13, 2012 at 12:25 am #443308Yes, I would like my main menu to look like the demo site. I have tried adding that class but it hasn’t changed anything, (even with the space before it.) =/
