So Guys —
Doesn’t it seem like the way this whole main menu is implemented is really non-standard as far as Joomla implementation. I mean, why is the the menu not a module assigned to a position? That way the module could be enabled or disabled like other Joomla modules, depending on the needs of the specific page. Furthermore, if it were a module, then you could specify whether or not have page titles displaying at all.
While I really appreciate all JA work, I really wish the JA implementation would be more Joomla standard. It seems like this type of non-standard implementation is what ends up wasting me a lot of time – trying to work around JA’s code. In the past I have had to abandon the use of a template after significant work, just because of this type of problem. I mean, if you are advising people to change CSS and template code to fix a real straightforward issue in the template, then that sort of defeats the whole purpose of using a template.

What would your standard Joomla mod be for a horizontal menu be? This is all I have ever encountered, the suckerfish/moo. The horizontal menu is assigned to TOP. The page title situation is a definite problem.
I am delving deeper changing various pieces because we are not using included mods in the template pack.
I’m not following you. I do agree the menus are a bitch, what do you recommend for a horizontal menu?
