    I have read and searched on this, but can’t find an answer. Actually, found a couple of answers but they didn’t work.

    I have tried commenting it out and removing:

    <blockquote>$layout = $tmplTools->getLayout ();

    if ($layout) {

    $tmplTools->display ($layout);</blockquote>

    from the index.php file, but that didn’t work.

    Also found answers that there should be a template setting for this, but not in the Purity template it seems.

    Found suggestions for moving it, but none for getting rid of it.

    Thanks

    Rename the following graphics from the images folder:
    user-decrease.png; user-increase.png; user-reset.png
    auto.png; auto-hilite.png; narrow.png; narrow-hilite.png; wide.png; wide-hilite.png

    I had a similar problem and this fixed it.

    Edit

    ja_purity_ii/layouts/blocks/header.php

    and comment out these lines as required.

    <?php $this->loadBlock('usertools/screen') ?>
    <?php $this->loadBlock('usertools/font') ?>

    Each tool has a controlling file:
    ja_purity_ii/layouts/blocks/usertools/font.php
    ja_purity_ii/layouts/blocks/usertools/screen.php

    Hope this helps.
