I am using mega menu to control the menu for a demo site in JA-Purity II. The menu will have following options:
Home | About Us| Products | Services| People | Contact us | Current Promotion
I want that the menu will not be displayed on the Current Promotion page and it will act like a sales page/landing page. How do we do it
using Mega Menu.Please Suggest.Dipak

September 21, 2011 at 5:05 pm #414152– You login backend > Extensions > Template management > ja_purity_ii > layout tab > clone default layout with its name is default-copy
– At Profiles, clone default profile with its name is default-copy. Set Desktop layout is default-copy

September 22, 2011 at 2:57 pm #414313In the normal Joomla way this is not possible but fortunately with JAT3 there is a way it can be done.
Firstly go into the menu manager and Create a new menu (just as a suggestion call it Main Menu 1). In that new menu create all the menu items exactly as per your normal main menu but omit the item you do not want displayed on all pages.
Once you have done that go into the template manager. In the profiles tab make a duplicate of the profile you are using (I assume this would be default). To do this click on the dropdown and click clone.
Now go into the cloned copy of that profile and in the menu settings section you will see an option called menu type. Click on the dropdown and select your Main Menu 1.
Then we simply need to set what pages you want this menu to appear on. The is done in the Page Assignments block on the left. You will see 2 columns one called Pages and one called Profiles. The left one selects what pages a particular profile will appear on and the right column selects the profile. So is you leave all pages as Default and then add a new item select your menu and the menu item. Hopefully that should do the trick.
