December 23, 2013 at 10:37 am #516268Hi,
Can you get me a screenshot? you trying to renew which membership? Make sure you are logged in to see the renewal link. Any expired membership does not show renewal as the discount is applicable only when renewed before expiry.
Anyways, get me more details and I will help you out.
Regards
Arvind

December 29, 2013 at 3:49 am #516772Sorry, but I too felt this was very unclear. In my mind, a license need not be “renewed” until it has expired. And renewing within any reasonable amount of time afterward, is deserving of a customer loyalty discount — that’s why you’re offering it as a company, for my customer loyalty. When my license is expired is when you want me to come back and buy another from you — not before.
After it’s expired is when I’m going to either go shop around for a different template provider OR, as I’m sure you’d prefer, return to you guys and buy a renewal license, because it’s a great service AND there’s a discount. You’re keeping me away from looking around at other shiny offers, by making me want to always come back for more.
At the moment, I’m not terribly upset about this, because you have a coupon code that makes a new license cost a mere $3 more than a renewal, so I’m not going to gripe TOO much. But you should know that if I’d grown accustomed to $49 renewals, and suddenly my renewal bill was $70… I’d be inclined to start at least seeing what else is out there.
This is just my 2 cents… and as I said, I’m happy to renew using the coupon. But you might want to rethink this policy in the future.

December 30, 2013 at 6:48 am #516831Thanks synapsis for the feedback and I would agree with you on this. We do have a pending signup page and membership rearrangement plan pending and I am sure we can consider this whenever we proceed with the membership changes. May be we can extend the renewal period to 10 days past expiry.
Regards
Arvind
