Ok i’m sorry i know i seen this somewhere on the forums but i cant seem to locate the topic/thread for it.. I have played around with the CSS for awhile now and cant seem to resize the left column..
The font and everything else i can thanks to help on a different thread i had..
But i cant seem to beable to resize the entire left coloumns of the template..
Any suggestions? or maybe the link to where the orginal issue was fixed?
oh and i did use the search tool and i did troll through each and every page of this templates forums. Still cant find it..
Thank you,

July 20, 2007 at 7:35 am #224659Open template_css.css and find line 1363
#ja-leftcol {
float:left;
padding-top:25px;
width:24.9%;
}
There you can change width: 24.9% to the width you would like to have.
Try it out and maybe you need to change the width of mainbody also.
Do you use Utahia or Utahia ll? If its Utahia ll you might need to do something with right column alsoJuly 20, 2007 at 4:27 pm #224675Thanks for the reply Menalto. I’m going to try that out. Oh and for the record i use the regular Utahia
July 20, 2007 at 4:38 pm #224676Ok the image in this posts shows the area im talking about…
#ja-leftcol {
float:left;
padding-top:25px;
width:24.9%;
}Will change the over all module size ” width ” like the menu’s and such.. But it still leaves this HUGE space here.. Which is controlled from a different location maybe within the css..
See the red arrows? Thats the area im talking about..
July 20, 2007 at 5:47 pm #224679Ok if its in the template_css.css file im over looking it.. I went through everything that had a px width or a px% in the entire css file and i cant seem to locate it.. I’m thinking maybe its a different css file or index ?

July 20, 2007 at 6:57 pm #224681Do you have a live url? You can PM me it if you want.
Like i said you might need to change the mainbody also.
And some graphics(but i forget that)
I have a psd somewhere for the template and can help you out with your changes if neededJuly 20, 2007 at 7:36 pm #224685Ok sent you the PM… Thanks again!!
July 20, 2007 at 7:38 pm #224687As for changing the main body.. I tried that and all it did was overlap the left column.. I also did some snooping around with the firefox developers tools plugin and well couldnt find it there either..
July 20, 2007 at 7:59 pm #224690You can probally notice how some of the site isnt rigth.. The adjustsments are off in a few spots from playing around with the css trying to locate where to adjust the left column ..Once i have all the information on how to do it.. I’ll probally have to add the orginal .css file back on there and then refix it all…

July 21, 2007 at 5:24 pm #224758For the main body,template_css.css line 1176
#ja-mainbody #ja-contentwrap {
float:right;
width:74,5%;
}
If you adjust the left column to lets say 14,9% then you can follow with the maindbody with 84.9%
Then you need to change the size of the container-bg.gif also to make it look good.
I dont say you need to change it to 14.9 and 84.9%, just test it outJuly 21, 2007 at 6:49 pm #224763Well after a little trial and erro with your suggestions its starting to look much better i think…
I hade to adjust 3 .gif images to get the correct look. Along with the mainbody and the left column in the .css file..
A few things needed to be a adjusted also but i think its starting to look much better.. Doesnt make my content look to small now.
Thank you very much for the great suggestions and or help.. Wish there was a rating system for people on here.. You would get a nice one from me…
Could you change this to problem solved in the topic title so people dont keep looking here to see if i need help.. Also for people to maybe even learn from for there own site?
