I would like to see you guys build a Responsive/Adaptive Template. The web is heading in that direction and there are very few good ones available for joomla.
Here is a free adaptive template for WordPress. Re-size your browser window so you can get the idea.

Also an Adaptive web site!tfosnom Friendtfosnom

December 19, 2011 at 1:19 pm #430369I went there resized browser from 1920 x1080 to about 1024 x768 yeah, most J1.7 xx T3 templates if set to auto (width) do the same resizing so what’s your point re adaptive templates? i did not test on phone etc if that’s where the advantage is?
ShaneDecember 19, 2011 at 5:52 pm #430400It does more than T3. If you resize your browser to about the size of a tablet, you’ll see the layout change to a single column and the menu reduces in size. Then reduce you browser to the width of a smart phone, the menu changes again to a list and the images automatically reduce in size to fit the smaller screen size. This is accomplished with only using one source image.
Besides making your site extremely user assessable, there are a slew of other advantages like making your site very SEO friendly. I know that, in the past, some of your templates were mobile friendly and used style switchers depending on the type of smart phome but this is a one-size-fits-all concept of designing and personally, I would like to see some template with less bells-and-whistles and with a cleaner, simple layout.
You can not deny the direction of how people access the Internet and it’s in Joomlart’s best interest to stay cutting-edge.
I thank you for your time,
MikeHere are some good references that explain it better than I can:

December 21, 2011 at 3:31 am #430601Hi,
Did you know this: http://joomla17-templates.joomlart.com/ja_elastica/ ?
Enjoy!
PS: We are finishing this template. Will be release soon! 😉
December 21, 2011 at 4:13 am #430602I’m glad to see we are on the same wavelength.
I can hardly wait to test it out.
I would still like to suggest creating some simple, classy layouts as if it’s for a ‘single’ item web site.
Less bells and whistles equal faster loading pages and better SE indexing. Which are VERY good selling points!!! 😉Thanks for sharing the link.
