1) Is there a response version available for mobvile devices?

2) Is there any chance that taxonomy search could be implemented, especially for the categories of gastronomy and lodging?

@seaneo: The menu as you mentioned in image above is custom menu in JA Directory template and you can touch and move it on mobile layout and it will scroll horizontal.

About taxonomy search you can contact with extension owner maybe you will get answer from them
