August 2, 2014 at 11:59 pm #200204Hi Folks 🙂
I’ve turned responsiveness off – basically I want the same layout, no matter which device/width is used. However the ‘Home’, ‘Search’, ‘Buy’ buttons (and the rest of the buttons in the top navigation bar) isn’t visible, when displayed on iPad2 or smartphone (width 854 px). Works fine in 1280 px width, though.
Login/Sign Up buttons displayed fine, regardless of which device is being used…
I guess it’s a basic setting I’m unfamiliar with – and will really appreciate some help from you clever folks. 🙂
Have a nice day/evening.
Best regards,
Jesper Sommer / vinylistas.comalexsmirnov Friendalexsmirnov

August 3, 2014 at 6:11 pm #544340Hi Jesper,
I’ve briefly checked how your web-site displays on small devices and to me it seems that it’s not a matter of just a few separate single buttons not being displayed.
The “buttons” you referred to are actually main menu items and on your web-site currently all of them, as the one whole main menu module don’t get displayed on small devices .
On our out of the box JA Biz Quick Start web-site turning off JA Biz template responsiveness (Extensions -> Template Manager -> ja_biz – Default -> General -> Responsive -> OFF) still keeps main menu displayed on small devices:
So, I strongly suggest you create a new database and a new sub-folder and install into them our JA Biz Quick Start web-site. You can test there all the required functionality, fill it in with required content, carefully delete our demo content and then, once happy, replace you current main web-site with this new one.
Hope this helps,
Regards,
Alex

August 4, 2014 at 8:17 pm #544524It turned out I’d forgotten to hit the ‘LESS TO CSS’-button at template manager>Overview. Case solved.
