During my customization of this template, I inadvertently permanently removed the top_meun section on my site (located in the bottom right of the footer)
Can someone please walk me through how to restore this, or what settings I have to recreate to add this back…
Thanks for your help –

September 5, 2008 at 9:13 pm #268994Can you provide a URL so we can diagnose further?
Thanks,
john.September 5, 2008 at 9:41 pm #269004What I’m looking for is the menu that used to be in the bottom right footer… I messed up, and thought I turned it off, but deleted instead…
Thanks in advance –

All this assumes you are using Joomla 1.5.x
Here we go!
- go to ADMINISTRATOR PANEL > MENUS > MENU MANAGER
- Click: “New” and give the new menu you are about to create a Unique name (the name Joomla uses internally), a Title (which can be displayed over your menu if you enable title later), a description (so that you can remember what the hell this is a menu of HA!) and the module name (exactly what it says). Tip…make the “Title” and “Module Name” the same….makes things easier to find later….and then SAVE.
- “Save” your new menu group (now to be known as YOURNEWMENU in this tutorial.
- Go back to ADMIN PANEL > MENUS > YOURNEWMENU and click New add a menu item and save. (Repeat until your menu is complete)
- Go to ADMIN PANEL > EXTENSIONS > MODULES and there you will find your new menu with its “Module Name”….open it.
- Once open…set the POSITION (drop down menu) to either User3, User4 or Footer…I can’t tell exactly where the old menu would have gone…but one of those will be your baby. And don’t forget to click ENABLE before you SAVE.
Have fun!
