As a result of a recent post I have noticed that when a non-member visits a restricted to members area they are not specifically told that they cannot view but are taken to the forum page which shows no posts.

Would it be worth taking non-members to a page that states they cannot access the forum as they are not members with a welcome to join message and link to membership sign-up?

Might very well encourage more members for Joomlart because the forums and templates are much better than anywhere else in my experience!

Hi ps5t0ck5,

I think this is a great suggestion. It would be something for JA to look into to see if they can easily set it up. And I agree, the templates here are great.

Thank you for the suggestion.

I once had the same experience when trying to reach a “restricted page” without login. Therefore I searched on Vbulletin but can not find any solution except for doing our own customization of the software.

We’ll start working on this next week.
