I’m setting up an online store and am using the JA Brickstore template with Virtuemart.

I’d like the public to see all of the available product categories in the menu but when they click on them they will only be allowed access after logging in with their password. Importantly, even after logging in they should only have access to a specific category to which they have been granted rights, not all categories.

Is this possible and if so, how can it be done?

It looks like VM doesn’t support this type of access yet: https://docs.virtuemart.net/manual/general-concepts/185-administrative-frontend-access-with-acl.html

Did you try to raise the same question to Virtuemart’s forum?
