Hi there,
I’ve found an issue in the JA_Purity menu.
I’ve created some menu links, for example :
- Link A : rights public
- Link B : rights registered
- Link C : rights “special”
At the first load of the page, only the link A appear ==> all fine
I log in, using only a “registered” account, and then, link A, B AND C appear. Link A and B are valid, but the link C gives a “403 error”.Using the “normal” display of a Joomla menu (using the official module), link A and B appear and are valid, but the link C does not appear (as the current user don’t have enough rights to see it).
I think there’s a problem in “special-rights item” in the JA_Purity Menu.
Thanks for your help.
G.
EDIT :
As a picture is worth a thousand words, here’s two screenshots of the problem :
I’ve made two display of the menu, the first one is the Succkerfish JA-Purity menu, and the second is the Joomla official mod_menu.On both pictures, a user is logged in. He has only the “registered” rights.
1st one :
Link “User” is “Registered” state, it appears in both menu, and link is valid ==> all fine.

Link “User” is “special” state, it appears in the JA_Purity menu, but NOT in the Joomla Menu. The link in JA_Purity will lead to a “403 error” page.

Does someone encounter the same problem ?
Is there a way to correct it ?
Thanks for your help.
April 26, 2008 at 8:45 am #246900Has there been a fix for this?
April 26, 2008 at 10:10 am #246904Well there’s a new update of Joomla, that I did not tested. As I don’t know if this rights problem is on Joomla-side or JA_Purity template side, perhaps it solves the problem.
But this issue is NOT present in Joomla 1.0 w/ JA_Purity for Joomla 1.0
Anyway, to my knowledge, this problem is not solved in Joomla 1.5.
April 26, 2008 at 12:01 pm #246907thanks for the reply.
I run Joomla 1.5.2 and the latest edition of JA Purity. The only thing I need to fix after some poor support earlier in my past threads is the rights. Apart from that good template, just need some JA developers to help with these kinds of issues.
