October 12, 2007 at 1:05 am #123188I installed Joomla 1.5.0 and Ja-Rochea. I wouldn’t install and I had to activate the system legacy plugin. After I did that I managed to install the template, but on the front page I just got a blank page!!!! When I tried POlaris I did see the template on the front page but it was broken. Are these templates Joomla 1.5 proof or not? I thought so, but now I am starting to doubt…

October 13, 2007 at 2:44 pm #231010Any ideas? Does Rochea maybe not support 1.5 RC yet? If so, is it in the making or could I edit the template easily myself? I deactivated legacy and now I just get a blanc page with a warning…:((
October 14, 2007 at 1:44 am #231021Make sure the directory that holds the template is named ja_rochea. I’ve seen it a few times where a joomlart template breaks when the directory is not named correctly (I can’t figure out why the directory would not be named correctly since it is the install script naming the directory). You MUST have the underscore. Good luck!!!

October 22, 2007 at 6:48 am #231322The directory name is correct. I just wonder if I might have to change the absolute and template path details…
October 27, 2007 at 8:01 pm #231642I tried this template on a virgin 1.5 install and it worked for me HOWEVER I DID have to rename the directory… When 1.5 installed it, it was called jarochea (no spaces). and when i looked at the page it WOULD HAVE BEEN WHITE, but i have warnings turned on in php.ini, so i saw all the warnings about not being able to find the ja_rochea files. so i renamed the directory and voila!
So I would double check the directory name and also turn warnings on so you can see why the page is white.

October 30, 2007 at 6:01 am #231789another caution… i don’t think the 2 modules work on 1.5RC3.

October 30, 2007 at 8:04 am #231796For the template: install as normal, then go to the templates folder, rename folder jarochea to ja_rochea. In Joomla 1.0x, the space in template name is replaced by the hyphen (_), but in 1.5, it is removed.
For the JA Newsflash module, use it from Koniga: http://www.joomlart.com/downloads/cat/joomlart_club_templates/ja_koniga/ja_newsflash_module_for_j!_15rc2.html
October 30, 2007 at 11:07 pm #231843thanks khanhe le, downloaded the 1.5rc2 newsflash and it doen’t error.. but it also doesn’t display any text on http://www.skyruncondos.com/skyrun. i have tried many different options but can’t get it to work (ie 7 and firefox).
working the same as the spotlight one now… look fine, no errors or warnings, but no text either.
October 30, 2007 at 11:09 pm #231844what about the spotlight module, is there a newer one of those (the joomlart site doesn’t have a search, so it’s kinda hard to find out).
