Firstly , i would like to thank you for a well crafted presentation in this template.
I have been eyeing it for some time and its a good fit for a couple clients, but even more importantly, it let me quickly launch http://tagmyspace.tv

This is important since the site’s owner is Randy Tat a hollywood producer , on the lot a Paramount and a very “Set Design” oriented guy who wishes to branch out to have a radio and Tv show based on his create instincts gathered from years in hollywood.

I need some advice i guess on this one.
My primary issue is that he is not really savvy about admin type details, and typical of most designers, changes his mind a lot. So the front page ordering of things is really crating a maddening situation for me with Rochea, since ordering is hard to figure out and control.
it appears to just put the most recent entry at the top, regardless of administrative control in content positioning and even in override of date.

Also the newsflash module seems to display the {mosimage} command text if he adds an image to the news item, meaning i can let him handle his own image pacements, since getting such a person to deal with command handling is not working for me and i get phonecalls and rashes of email fix requests as a result. Suggestions? i just really dont have time to edit code to correct such things that i didnt expect to deal with….

    thanks again JA rocks!

Frontpage ordering isn’t a template issue, it is controlled in the Joomla admin panel under the menu item for your home page so in your case go to the joomla admin panel and then Menu/mainmenu and click on Home then scroll down a bit and on the right you have the ordering options. Under Primary Order check that Front page ordering is selected and click save.

Next go to Content/Front Page Manager and just use the up and down arrows to change the order in which they’re displayed.

Thanks – but that was the first thing i checked and i cheked again – admin settings are correct..

This template seems to behave unlike other ones,
I have several Joomla installs, many are JA.
i’m wondering if something else could affect ordering.

No, the only thing could be joomla itself as far as I am aware.

yup – right you are – a re-install fixed it.
possibly a rating module broke things.
    weird. thanks for the attention
