    http://www.gimp.org

    Rounded Corners Plugin: http://students.washington.edu/jkivligh/gimp_rounded_corners/

Install Gimp, then download plugin and unzip in the Plugin Directory of Gimp. The start/restart GIMP…Open your pic and choose “Select”, the Rounded Rectangle”

Then cut and paste into a new template…

There are many ways of doing this…this is just one of the easiest I have found…good luck!

Just ran across this site: http://www.roundpic.com/

This will automatically make rounded corners for you, just upload and it does the rest…very nice!!!

    Rounded corners – Photoshop CS3

    Open your image.

Convert the background layer to a regular layer –> hold Opt/Alt key and double-click on the background layer in the Layers Palette.

Go to the Rounded Rectangle tool and give it 8px for Radius.

Click and drag from top left corner to bottom right corner.

In the Layers Palette, drag the Shape layer so it is under (below) the image layer.

Hold down the Opt/Alt key and place your cursor over the line that separates the shape layer from the image layer. A Clipping Mask icon will appear, click with the mouse.

    Save and upload.

    Bing, bang, boom… it works.

    🙂
