Site is http://clases.rosairigoyen.com
Nevertheless the problem is with the back-end. I can access all menu items of the RSgallery configuration, images, uploads and batch uploads but the Galleries Manager is corrupted. It does not show the menu options for Joomla or RSGallery. It shows a scant text only page which doesn’t let me do a thing. Can’t create or manage galleries.
I’ve looked at the posts and done extensive searches including the FAQ page for the Gallery but I can’t find a solution.
I’m a new member and installed the latest version of Avian II with the Quickstart package and sample data.
I’m a professor and am using my page for the upcoming august courses.
Please, please advise.

July 20, 2008 at 4:14 pm #260945Dear nguoiabcd,
When I installed Avian II with the Quickstart package I had this problem. I proceeded to unistall the rsgalley using the Joomla backend interface. At that time I found the link you now mention because I was getting the error message re zip.php and proceeded to do the directory install. All this was done before I wrote in this forum.
After the directory install, I still have the problem. It’s not a browser cache problem because I’ve connected from different machines and different browsers in my Macintosh computers.
If I uninstall the rsgallery again, should I mannually delete other files through ftp that the unisntall with joomla might leave behind? Apparently there has been some kind of undetected initial install error since the FIRST Quickstart package installation. I don’t want to start over again, and my time is running out before classes start.
Thanx but I’ll be waiting for your reply.
rosaJuly 20, 2008 at 8:42 pm #260970nguoiabcd,
I just erased the site and reisntalled Quickstart. During the ftp I got an error message so I checked each folder and file and found that the component folder stopped copying with rsgallery folder. I fixed that one by one and checked everything else. Now the site is in a subdomain: http://cursos.rosairigoyen.com
The backend seems fine. I have the Galleries manager up and I’ll just have to see if anything else happens.
My site is housed in a Linux OS server running Php 5.2.5, Apache 2.2.8, Mysql 4.1.22 standard, Cpanel and Phpmyadmin.
You can close the ticket.
Thank-you
