Hello,

Can anyone help me find a good and stable RSS feeds and converting into Joomla contents?

I tried FeedGator, but it wasn’t that good to me. Are there any other alternatives?

    Hi Raffet,

For me, FeedGator is a number one choice to import RSS data into Joomla content. Anyways, you can try on the below similar extensions at http://extensions.joomla.org/extensions/social-web/social-edition/automatic-articles

    Hello,

My problem with FeedGator is that there is no version for Joomla 3, on the other hand it has problem with articles duplications “the same article from the same feed source comes more than 10 times sometimes.”, also FeedGator doesn’t show images direct from the source, it has to import it or hide the images.

    Hey nooran,

Maybe these new info will make you to consider to back to FeedGator which was already updated to new version FeedGator v2.3.7 few weeks ago that it is now compatible with Joomla 1.5, 1.6, 1.7, 2.5 and 3.0 native.

In addition, the duplicating problem is also sorted in this new update, here is what Mathew mentioned:

Fixes bug introduced with the recent change to JoomlaCode structure
Fixes a bug in the exhaustive duplicate checking – note that overwriting does not work correctly

Beside that, many new features com to existence including the image handling you are interested in: Image and enclosure downloading. One more amazing news that Mathew and his team has been working to release the FeedGater 3.0 stable which will be completely compatible with Joomla 3.x version. You can refer the info and download this extension at http://extensions.joomla.org/extensions/social-web/social-edition/automatic-articles/13573.
