    If I understand you, you want to show some external news (ie from another site) in your content? Correct me if I am wrong.

    To solve this problem, you will have to find some component which is able to do this, like for example rss Factory 1.5.3 or you can use modules:

    Thick RSS Browser 2.2 or Slick RSS or some others

    If you decide to use module but to show it in content instead of some module postion, use mambot for calling:
    1. make new module position in your template manager, and named it, ie “RSS”,
    2. publish your new, installed RSS module on previously created position,
    3. make new article for frontpage and just type in content area: {mosloadposition RSS}

    Don’t forget that you have to install module before anything else.

    that’s exactly what i am looking to do…

    how would i use mambot for calling:
    1. make new module position in your template manager, and named it, ie “RSS”, HOW?
    2. publish your new, installed RSS module on previously created position,
    3. make new article for frontpage and just type in content area: {mosloadposition RSS}

    i am looking to place up to 4+ rss feeders on the front page pulling of course from different feed’s…

    HOW DO I DO THIS?
    what would i need to edit…. again i am using the ja telline template in this instance…. and say i want to utilize this on other templates—is their a specific place in css file i need to go?

    thanks

    I would have added more module positions in the index.php and published the rss module in each position i needed a feed in. This way you have more control over position etc.

    Are you using joomla 1.5 or 1.0.xx?
    No,it does not matter, make a zip file of your index.php of the template instead and attach it here.

    It seems that you can not load module in that JA News flash module, but only in content, look the picture bellow:

    but as you can see: in content it reads RSS feeds from NFL.

    And if you click on Read More, you will see links.

    1. rss
