In JA Droid template, after selecting direction: RTL in the control panel, the main page’s appearance gets messed up. actually the main banner/picture which has a slideshow characteristic goes black and a vertical scroll bar appears at the bottom of the page, indicating a very large horizontal offset. unfortunately there’s nothing to be found (and fixed) inside the vast horizontal expanse! I’ve tested this in IE and Chrome, both have the same problem.

That occurs even on our demo site? Do you have a link for check or a screenshot on the problem?

November 16, 2010 at 10:23 am #363000Yes. Actually I haven’t checked it on my own server yet, because this problem occurs on your demo sight. And seeing the case, I haven’t downloaded and installed it on my clients servers because of the problem yet. here’s the link and some screenshots with alll browsers:

November 16, 2010 at 10:29 am #363001I don’t believe JA Droid was ever advertised as RTL compatable. Some templates were while others were not. It always remains a feature of the framework but to work correctly a lot of extra css has to be included.

Sorry, but JA Droid was never advertised as RTL. You will find no mention of it in the advertising nor will you find a menu item in the demo. The only reference to it is the standard cpanel which all T3 templates have. While most things in Droid do work with RTL enable the slideshow certainly fails.
By contrast you will see that JA Rave has an RTL menu item and has been tested and built to be compliant. If problems were experienced with that you can expect them to be fixed.
I am aware that having the option in the T3 back end does cause confusion but that is a part of the plugin features. I’m not saying that Droid cannot be made to work RTL but there are known problems with it.

November 18, 2010 at 7:31 am #363258Its the slideshow II bug. Its fixed and we will release a version soon. It would be notified at >> http://www.joomlart.com/updates along with changelog link.
The module has been updated for other issues also, even the backend settings may appear different. You would be able to install it over your old slideshow2 module. Though take screenshot of your settings and replicate the same (if required).
Since, we need to test it with all the other templates it is being used, so it will take time for release. If you need it urgently, you can PM me your contact details, i shall email it to you.

November 19, 2010 at 7:08 pm #363491Hi Sema,
I replied back and sent the dev version of the module to your email. It has been fixed for droid, but has broken all other templates the module is used with. Though it can also be coz of all the updates this module has got over the past 2 weeks. So the official release of version is on hold till the testing team gives a go ahead.
Anyone in need on urgent basis can PM me the email address and i shall provide the zip for now.
Regards
Arvind
