No, I do not … but thanks for asking.

I don’t think 2-3 weeks is minor. Its April 13th and Marches release is still not 100% ready. The current download is still the same files from the 11th which are missing the “Joomla 1.5.10 + new official IE8 version, as well as additional 8 themes” as well as the .psd files. When do Aprils themes come? In May?

This means nothing, I have never used a JoomlArt template for anything and been a member for over a year (same with the other clubs).

Furthermore, there is no way that ANY of you has a use for each and every one of the templates released by JoomlART. You’re simply complaining because you didn’t get your eye candy exactly when you wanted it – despite the fact that Hung provided everyone with a preview WELL IN ADVANCE of releasing the actual template.

Teh ironic thing is, if things were a bit more rushed and the template had been released without having been fully tested and acceptable for final release to the Club, the lot of you would be whining and complaining about Hung’s lack of testing and/or care for quality. So it’s quite evident that those of you who consistently complain as you do about exacting release dates are the kind of people who are rarely satisfied no matter what – damned if they do, damned if they don’t.

You know what, NONE of your lives or livelihoods are negatively impacted by the minor delay in the release of this or any other template – so please, GET OVER YOURSELVES, enjoy the template(s) and get to creating.

It doesn’t matter if we use 1 template or 60 does it… we have paid for them.

What good is a preview when you are about to start work on a new website and could really use that template now? That’s the position I often find myself in – anybody else agree?

I’m not whining just bring up a fact, and the reason I am a member here is because I have the money, nothing to do with the product (same for the other 10 clubs I belong to). Like I stated in my previous post, I have never even used a JA template.

You do know that the official release isn’t available yet correct? So it is quite ironic that Hung provided everyone with a preview WELL IN ADVANCE for this template which isn’t ready yet.

Did someone also mention the template had been released having been fully tested and acceptable for final release to the Club?

Tom, could you please send me a link to the fully tested and acceptable for final release files?

No he doesn’t but it’s usually only a matter of time before he and/or Wooohanetworks comes along to try to defend JA by throwing their 2¢ in. Only difference between the 2 is you can always understand what Tom is talking about.

Actually the 8 themes (or styles as we should really call them) were there, the 1.5.10 was and still is in the quickstart but the zip was called 1.5.9 (if you install it you will see that it is 1.5.10) and it is IE8 compatible and has been from the day it was released. You’ve got me on .PSD files though.

For the record, unless there are/have been unwarranted profanity or threats, I do not think ShannonN should be banned or suspended (don’t even know if he has been). I simply maintain, as I always have, that comments and criticisms should be presented in a respectful and considerate manner. Sarcasm is okay – so long as it isn’t vicious and/or intentionally hurtful.

Imagine what? That the files aren’t 100% ready yet and haven’t been updated since the 11th?

Where are the .PSD files Tom? 😉

Not that hard to imagine reality…

So is everything we need on the download page up to date with the exception of the .psd files?

Play nicely guys, is it really worth having a row about. All these posts will quite rightly be deleted soon I am guessing, as they are off topic for the thread.

And yes, everything is up to date as far as I can tell. I downloaded late on the 11th and thought at first the quickstart was 1.5.9 but when I installed on localhost I was glad to see it was 1.5.10. I then checked for IE8 compatability and so far all seems fine.

That’s what I’m wondering, the file I grabbed on the 11th was v1.5.10 and seems to be the same as the file that’s there now. So I guess I’m wondering if there is going to be an update to that file or is that the “official release”?

why is the login not at the top like in the preview image? I agree it doesn’t look as good as the preview. Hopefully the 2 april templates won’t be as disappointing.

It is also lacking a search position. In the preview this was at the top along with the login and the breadcrumbs.

I do prefer the breadcrumbs to be at the bottom where it is now. Others feel the same and commented on these boards in the past so it looks like the designers listened. In moving the breadcrumbs down the login probably looked like an afterthought stuck at the top so was probably moved for that reason.

A preview is a preview, you should never take it for gospel that the final product will be the same.

I can fully understand the reasoning behind not releasing the .PSD’s the same day as the template ad the load on the server is then spread.
