    Hi there,

I just love what Rutile and Teline does on the front page in terms of organising site content and having a slideshow effect of front page items…….

My question is – I have built an entire site around Edenite template and desparately want to stick with that – but I want the Rutile and Teline front page effect……

What would I have to do to get that? Would it just be an install of the 3 modules – or is there more detailed template hacking (or something else!) needed?????!

    Thanks a million

I’m thinking – if it’s a matter of you wanting your Edenite based frontpage to resemble Rutile – that it’s simply a matter of adding the additional module positions (and relative css styling) that you require. To get it to look like the Teline structure may take a bit more work – but I’m sure it’s doable.

A way to examine the module positioning structure is to either look at the respective template’s diagram that JA provides, or load up the template onto a localhost server (such as XAMPP) and look at it via the Template Manager preview function.

Thanks for your comment – As a bit of a newbie I might just need a tiny bit more direction if possible….

    Here’s what I’ve done so far…

(and summary is I’m trying to get the Teline II / Rutile awesome front page powers – facility to slideshow front page content and feature articles from categories – onto my Edenite template)

    1) Installed the modules JA-NEWS and JA-NEWS-FP – but when I activate them I get on the Front End a crash – with ‘Internal Server Error 500’ type message.

Any pointers for a step 2?!?!

    Thanks!
