Any chance, when the cache is set within the S3 component cache control metadata would be set within S3 or even within CloudFront?

Can’t seem to get it to work or find a solution anywhere..

Hi,

Could you clarify more details of how you want to achieve here? as I don’t understand of ‘cache metadata’ here. S3 provides cache settings but it’s for images stored in local.

Same Problem here – how to get the Meta-Data "Cache-Control" on a s3 object while uploading? I’ve set "Cache lifetime" in the component, but the value is not transfered to the Meta-Data "Cache-Control" in s3.

At this moment, JA S3 Amazon does support for Cache Control by browser, not by S3. We’ll add this feature to next version. You can track its progress here: http://pm.joomlart.com/browse/JAECCOMAMAZONJIVI-115
