    Hello, all!

I have used the sample JA Teline install from the download, and it works great out of the box. My problem is getting it to work with OpenSEF. (PS, I am new to the Joomla game, so therefore not tied to OpenSEF. If there is a better option please let me know)

I installed OpenSEF and before enabling it I uncommented the ‘third-party’ rewrite rules in the supplied .htaccess file, then specified that I would like for the URL’s to be:

    /Section/Category/Title

With OpenSEF enabled, My url’s show as:

    http://www.mydomain.com/content/view/19/2/

This isn’t what I expected; I thought the above content would be:

    http://www.mydomain.com/news/world/the-title-of-the-story.html

Clicking on the links gives the default: “The page you are trying to access does not exist.
Please select a page from the main menu.”

Each time I click on a link, an ‘invalid link’ is recorded under the ‘Friendly URLs’ section in the OpenSEF admin panel.

I also tried creating new content. The new news item shows nicely on the front page in the correct section, but the url is incorrect and ultimately clicking on the link gives me the same error message.

I can provide any further info needed, does anyone have any suggestions?

After messing around with this for a while, I decided to try another URL component. I ran across sh404SEF, and it works perfectly. My advice is to not use opensef!
