May 25, 2011 at 12:51 pm #164413Hi,
like said from other users the post about that kind of problems was not really solved.
In the solved section the post has many questions still not answered.
My situation is:
1. I tried to install every component on my actual joomla portal, but it’s not possible to save any change on the frontpage module
2. So I tried to install on a different domain a new joomla portal (both 1.5 and 1.6) and then add every component, one by one. Still not possible to save.
3. Last one was to install your quick install version. In that way it works fineBut having the need to upgrade my actual installation and not to install a new one, I need a way to solve the upgrade problem.
Please let me know
Thank you

May 25, 2011 at 1:23 pm #392856Hello,
Saving problems with frontpage module
To save changes You need to goto admin login->template manager->Your Template-> Global-> System Settings -> Enable Development Mode – Yes
and also Css & Javascript Compress -> Optimize CSS – No
apply and clean cache.

May 30, 2011 at 10:05 pm #393708This is almost certainly an file ownership or permissions problem. Please detail which button on the frontpage module you are trying to click on to save something and I can point you in the right direction as to what file or folder does not have the right permissions.
AQlso go into the Joomla back end and in the help menu check to see what folders Joomla thinks is has permissions for. Everything should be writable.

May 31, 2011 at 4:30 pm #393927The button is the save button, with diskette as image on.
I’ll install the same version on a second domain where I have already checked there is the same problem.
The first domain http://www.amotomio.it is working and only later in the night is possibile to work on it.
