Instead of losing a position, maybe you could ADD one in the form of a TOP PANEL DROP DOWN.
You could label it ÏE9 USERS CLICK HERE”and then when it drops down you could have a little blurb about the viewing of the site.</blockquote>No Blaine I think we can do without a search box for now……site has only a couple of things to try and fix then I’m done 🙂
no edit in frontend on homepage when logged in and image allignment in text on homepage….then site is done!!!
http://www.peacockquizzes.com/index.php
besides that I dont know how to do a drop down box :-[

Are we talking about the same thing Blaine?
It make difference which edit I use, if Im logged in I do not need to go to the administrator to do little edits, I can edit then save via my web browser on the frontend.
For some reason I can not do this on the homepage.
The editor I’m using at the moment is JCE

September 4, 2011 at 12:59 pm #410480Blaine, idk what this help if any, but I went on phils site trying to handle the ticket he submitted and when I tried to open a plugin ( like system-mootools-upgrade ) i get a padlock and it won’t open.selecting and then edit won’t either. I find this very strange. I found a link http://forum.joomlaworks.gr/superblogger-%28plugin%29/internet-explorer-8-error-13491/ that might shed some light the other thing I found was this is a WIDE spread problem with IE.
The good news is ( kinda ) this is not just a JA issue. Good ole beez2 has the exact same problem, while milkyway does not. ( this was on phils site using the ? image.
I don’t have the solution but I’m hoping this leads us there.

September 4, 2011 at 11:07 pm #410599Now I understand, so you want to be able to edit from the home page, my misunderstanding.
Thanks for clarifying this Phil!
I have now seen you are running many items in Legacy mode that should be native with 1.7, may I ask why?
Also, there are many duplicate items installed.
Please check that you need all of these and check on the Legacy mode setting you have and report back to me.
Thanks!Blaine FriendBlaine
