    Hey!

I really like the search button on the Joomlart’s website. Is it possible to create the same for Uber Template? So I hope that someone can kindly share info how to create the same button. I tried to replicate it with a custom html creating a button and assigning to right-menu position, but in that case I have to edit certain button css, what I don’t want to do… So please help me 🙂

    Thank You!

On Uber Search is usually at top of Off-Canvas sidebar. See images below to show you the module’s position. Maybe if you leave out the word ‘search’ it will look more like the JA button.

    Hi @timtecsa

The thing is that I am not using off-canvas position, instead I want to create a search button as on the Joomlart’s website…

I thought you might say that:-) You don’t have mobile users?

🙂 I do, but I don’t really like the off-canvas layout so for main menu I am using collapse navigation option 🙂

I tried that but couldn’t make it work, and bearing in mind how well advertised the off-canvas menu is I stuck with it.

The thing is that the Search option is very important for my site and the search button should redirect to search page. I am not using the off-canvas just because I have a lot of submenu items which is not collapsing in off-canvas menu. Plus there is no off-canvas position in templates>uber>layout…. Mystery… 🙂

Why not just add a Search menu item that directs user to a Search page? With megamenu it could be just a search icon too.

Add where to the right-menu position?

Main menu at top of page. Is your site live?

It’s still in development, but yeah you can check it out. I want to add search button to the very right of the header, so in that case I need a new custom button…

If Search is important why not be a little radical and make it the FIRST item in the menu. Mies van der Rohe would approve 🙂

Who would approve? 😀 I want to make it stylish and stand out of whole header, thats why i like Joomlart’s search button 🙂

To make a button you feel stands out just design it as an image and use the Menu item > Link type tab to set it up.

Maybe if you made a new Menu called ‘JA Search’, say, and then a single menu item (type Search) for it (as described above) and then made a new Module of type Menu, referencing your new menu, and assigned it to position ‘right-menu’ it might be as you want it to look and on the far right.

    Worth a try ?
