did you hack code in the template? please take a look on this link http://www.byggeoplevelser.ceciliavej.dk/index.php?searchword=content&ordering=&searchphrase=all&Itemid=30&option=com_search

i signed value 30 for itemId parameter in above url, you can see the search show well .
    To resolve the issue

    1) if you hacked code, please rollback to original, or make some check by php code with your logic
    2) you can create a group name is “Hide Menu”, then create a menu item in this group and make its menu type with the “Search” Layout

I tried to figure out off whati have done different than i’am used to, and then it hit me.
under template manager and profiles i made a special profile for the frontpage. where i usede the choice to “Hide Main content block”.
if i choose no in this option the search button will work again, there must be a way to work around this?

    Best regards Kenneth

Yes, you only create a Hide Group Menu and Create a Menu Item linking to the Search Page. When that the search page will not use the Default ItemId of home Menu which you used “”Hide Main content block””
