    Hi,

First of all – great template 🙂 I have got some questions about it, byt let’s do it step by step.

I have noticed that SEARCH doesn’t work. If I type anything, page is reloading, but istead of showing page results it is staying on the same page, just page title is changing for Search… etc.

Any idea, how to fix it? Thank you.

    Hi corticalcolumn,

Thanks alot for your encouragement. On JA Fubix template, we use Joomla Search module at top-header position, It works fine on our demo now. Anyway, can you send me PM with your admin for checking this search issue ?

    Regards,

    Leo

Yeah, I know about search module and its position, also I see it is working on your demo site… So, that’s why I’m quite surprised…

I just sent you login details for my site, I hope you can find why it is not working. Thank you for your time.

    Hi corticalcolumn,

I did find the root of your search issue, the ID of item (&Itemid=435) is automatically added behind the search result page url, that why the search result page doesn’t work. Because the valid search result page url should be your_domain.com/component/search/?searchword=magazyn&searchphrase=all .
So, i suggest you to follow below tutorial to remove id from url to solve your problem.

    * Don’t forget to inform me your result.

    Hi,

I have recieved your PM with admin account, could see that you also have the same issue like corticalcolumn’s one. The item ID is automatically added in artilce/search page url, it make the url invalid. Pls follow below tutorial to solve your issue:

Updated: Please ignore my previous PM, I have now installed Rok Ajax Search instead which works perfectly. 🙂

    hi,

unfortunately that solution did’nt work, but i installed rok ajax search too. it is fine, but look is slightly different, any idea how to make it look in the same view as default search module?

i have noticed that when i go to any page (k2 or other components) and want to go back to home i can’t click on logo, because logo is taking link of the page i’m currently on.

for example if i’m on page:
    http://kompresja.pl/magazyn/czlowiek/item/2259-dane-pochodzace-z-sieci-moga-ujawnic-intymne-szczegoly-milionow-osob
and want to click logo to go back to home i can’t because logo is linked with that page

if i will click home in main menu i choose another article the situation repeats…

any idea how to fix it? maybe it generates problem with search module as well?

ok, i have fixed that thing with logo and redirection via header.php file…

about that search thing… itemid which is adding on home page is id of menu item… when i tried to use another item as default home page it was working but… i can’t attach modules to new home page (page was just blank) when i did some changes in php admin search module didn’t work again…

    strange, ha?

    >> You should check out the template style assigned to homepage menu & the layout you choose for that template style (Layout tabs). Because the layout contains the module positions. But, why did you change somethings in database of PhpMyadmin ?

i think i found out where lays the problem… even on your demo when i’m on K2 demo version and type anything in search, page redirects to manu dedicated to joomla demo (main menu). there is no items in my main menu (i made k2 menu as default), so i think that cause that issue. i installed blank version of demo and remove all items from main menu, just leave hot news (in joomla version), just changed modules on frontpage to those with k2 items and i think it works

@stpere: The default menu items of Joomla were removed on his website. That is why the Search results do not display on a new page. In order to solve this issue, you can follow these 2 steps:

    – Create a menu item to display the search results (Search Form or Search Results)
    – Make sure you assign the JA_Fubix_Default template style to this new menu item

@stpere: You just need to move this new Search menu item to another parent menu (i.e Top, About Joomla) or create a parent menu for it. Then, it will not display on the frontend main menu. It is easy I think.
