I just installed the quickinstall of this template and got it up and working. Atleast out of the gate before making any changes.

One of the first things I did was turn ON Search Engine Friendly URLs and Use Apache mod_rewrite. Its what I normally do on a new install.

After doing this all of my links in the template stopped working. All except the HOME button. Is there something happening with this template where things are not going to work with SEF?

Plz change htaccess.txt file to .htaccess file

    nguoiabcd, thanks for your reply.

I am aware that in order to use SEF you must remane htaccess.txt to .htaccess however this is done already and the existing links did not work with the demo site.

I did however make a new link in the main menu called category test linked to the news category and that did work with SEF.

SO, am I to believe this has something to do with how the developers created this template? ITS NOT A BIG PROBLEM, but as I move forward with your works I would like to further UNDERSTAND.

Can you send URL, or pm to me account, so I can view your site and fix it ?

    CHECK YOUR PM 😉

Regarding SEF, the template seems to work with most SEF if I create a new link. But old links like ABOUT US and TYPOGRAPHY just default to HOME page. This may be by design or me not understanding some piece of joomla operation (yet!) your feedback welcome!

    Hi itgl72.
I’ve viewed your site and have some change on it.
I showed My Blog component at Home as you want.
And about SEF, I’ve tested Typography, and About Me, I think you should create new links replace them.
And if you want to create page have some modules as you want :
-First, you must know about all positions in template.
-You can see at module config, you can choose position to show it, choose menu what it will display
E.g: I create new Home menu, unpublish old Home menu, and I go to module manager, I choose some module will display at Home menu as J!menu, RSSlide, Site News,…. And your site have Home page as you want.

I pretty much got it all figured out now as far as what modules to put where.
