Hi,

I can not get the search function to work at all.
I have tried every “fix” available on the Virtuemart forum (which solves the problems for most people)
I tried, for example, the fix offered by dsherwin at http://forum.virtuemart.net/index.php?topic=105382.15

Any ideas why search is not working for me? What should I be looking for to begin to solve this problem?

Hi Calavaro,

It looks like to be problem of search module of VM as we don’t override this module in our template. Please try to follow above tips and in case it doesn’t work, you can post a thread in VM forum to get better answer.

I found a workaround to this problem by using a search module by Rockettheme: http://www.rockettheme.com/extensions-downloads/club/1004-rokajaxsearch

(Demo here: http://demo.rockettheme.com/extensions/rokajaxsearch/ )

This module searches correctly and shows results in both AJAX form and on a new page. Very handy for us who has a broken VM search.
